easyDec, a Swiss specialist in high-precision turned components, announces a major milestone in its development with the appointment of Emilie Rebetez as Chief Executive Officer. After three years of leadership transition alongside her father Didier Rebetez, the company’s founder, she now assumes full executive management of the family business, one of the Jura region’s industrial gems in watchmaking subcontracting.
At easyDec, this succession reflects a natural and long-planned continuity. Having joined the company in 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, Emilie Rebetez has known the EasyDec environment since its early days, working in the workshops alongside her studies. This gradual immersion enabled her to gain deep technical and human understanding of the profession.
“I am proud of the journey accomplished and confident in easyDec’s future. Emilie represents the new industrial generation: committed, demanding, and deeply attached to our values. I hand over the company with complete confidence,” says Didier Rebetez, founder of easyDec.
Industrial Expansion to Support Growth
Alongside this governance transition, easyDec is reaching a new milestone with the expansion of its facilities and production capacity through an additional 2,500 m² of industrial space. This significantly strengthens its manufacturing capabilities, particularly for large watch components, including watch case rings, intended for a highly demanding high-end clientele.
This investment enables easyDec to increase production volumes, reinforce diversification, improve industrial workflows, and support increasingly complex customer requirements.
Increased Vertical Integration of Expertise
L’évolution d’easyDec ne se limite pas à ses surfaces de production. L’entreprise a engagé une stratégie easyDec’s evolution goes beyond expanding production space. The company has implemented a strategy to vertically integrate its expertise by bringing component finishing operations in-house.
This internalization allows:
improved quality control,
shorter lead times,
greater process security,
and increased flexibility in developing new projects.
A dedicated prototyping unit complements this setup, accelerating development and industrialization phases. With a machine fleet of nearly 100 machines, easyDec now operates a comprehensive industrial platform capable of covering the entire production cycle — from prototyping to demanding series production.
Watchmaking DNA, Controlled Medical Diversification
While watchmaking remains the company’s historical DNA (micro-components for watch movements, external components, technical parts, and large components), easyDec is experiencing significant growth in the medtech sector.
The extreme miniaturization required for medical components relies on competencies directly derived from watchmaking turning expertise, opening new growth opportunities for the company.
“Our expertise in high-precision micromachining naturally finds applications in the medical field. We are currently developing numerous projects in this area, which represents a strategic axis for growth,” emphasizes Emilie Rebetez, CEO of easyDec.
Human Capital at the Core of Performance
easyDec relies on a team of 60 highly qualified employees, including turning specialists, metrology experts, and quality professionals. With an average age of 40, the company successfully combines professional experience with ongoing skills renewal.
Committed to employee well-being and strong client relationships, easyDec fosters an industrial culture based on loyalty, transmission of know-how, and collective excellence.
A New Phase of Development
Through generational succession, industrial expansion, and sector diversification, easyDec is opening a new chapter in its history, as confirmed by Emilie Rebetez:
“Remaining faithful to its watchmaking roots while accelerating its positioning in growing technological markets, easyDec reaffirms its mission: to produce high-precision components for the most demanding environments.”
